Partnerships & Attendance
Last year, over 300 delegates from 22 different countries attended Film Bazaar India.
Organised by NFDC, Film Bazaar India 2009 was supported by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Entertainment Society of Goa. Its partners include: Primehouse, Europa Cinemas, AFI Projects, CineMart, Locarno International Film Festival, the Hubert Bals Fund and the Binger Filmlab of the Netherlands
Screenwriters’ Lab 2009
The Screenwriter’s Lab has been specially designed by the Binger Filmlab to offer a unique opportunity for Indian writers with a script in development to receive feedback and script editorial support from well- renowned script editors, producers, writers and directors, in one to one script development sessions, beginning August in Switzerland at the Locarno International Film Festival (a new partner in the Film Bazaar Screenwriter’s Lab), continuing with feedback during a 3 month writing period and finally with scripts and pitching coaching immediately preceding the Goa Film Bazaar. This lab gives the unique opportunity to pitch projects to local and international producers, distributors, sales agent and financiers within the Film Bazaar itself.
The Screenwriters’ Lab 2009 was presented in association with Binger Filmlab and the Locarno International Film Festival. Six screenplays participated in the 2009 edition.

Work in Progress Lab 2009
The Work in Progress Lab for Indian feature and non-feature films at the rough- cut stage is where filmmakers have their work reviewed by a panel of eminent professionals from the international filmmaking community and seek their advice on improving their work.
Four feature-length films participated in the Work in Progress Lab 2009.

Co-production Market 2009
The Co-production Projects at Film Bazaar present to the world feature-length (75 mins or more) projects that are Indian stories. These selected projects receive the opportunity to be pitched by their representatives to potential collaborators for finance, distribution, and artistic support through one-to-one meetings.

Rotterdam Lab 2009
The Rotterdam Lab is organised by CineMart in close co-operation with various partner organizations involved with the training of young producers as well as funding bodies. In order to take part in the Rotterdam Lab, it is necessary to be affiliated with one of these partnering organisations. Instead of having an open selection, participants are nominated through these partners.
Four projects were selected by CineMart in Film Bazaar, 2009 for the Rotterdam Lab, 2010.
