CO-PRODUCTION MARKET

The Co-Production Market provides a platform for carefully curated projects with South Asian themes to find financial, artistic and creative support.

Every year, filmmakers with selected projects get numerous avenues to connect with Indian and International producers/distributors, Sales Agents, Film Festival Programmers and Film Commissions, among others.

In the 10th year, 20 projects will participate in the Market.

Patrick Frater

Asia Bureau Chief, Variety

“For me the core of Film Bazaar is the Co- Production, the one-on-one meetings which is an internationally recognized format and it is absolutely the strength of the market.”

BRIEF HISTORY

Since 2007, the Co-Production Market has consistently brought out notable projects. Filmmakers have applied year after year to connect with the international film producing and financing community at Film Bazaar. In 2010, the market was expanded to include projects from our South Asian neighbours — Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

In 2014, the market showcased 32 South Asian projects from 12 countries including an Independent Filmmaker Project from USA.
