ROMANCE SCREENWRITERS’ LAB

{ Page Archived }

The Romance Screenwriters’ Lab was introduced in 2014 to cull out new stories based on the themes of love and romance.

At the lab, three eminent screenwriters from India mentor participants within the framework of a two-stage programme. The second stage of the lab culminates in Film Bazaar, Goa, where participants are given the opportunity to pitch their projects to prospective producers and investors.

Samimitra Das

Filmmaker, India

“The Romance Screenwriters’ lab helped to take a hard look at writing – to channel the characters and emotions, to realize where the emphasis lies and where it fails. Having mentors give their undivided attention and criticism has meant a lot. It was wonderful to listen and respond to the other scripts. The collective commitment towards story-telling in fiction film-making was contagious and wonderful.”
