DOCUMENTARY CO PRODUCTION MARKET

Starting this year, the Co-Production Market will include a non-feature section alongside its existing feature section. The aim is to foster connections between documentary projects with South Asian themes and international producers, distributors, sales agents, and financiers.

The Co-Production Market serves as a platform to find commissioning, financing, and co-producing partners. Its primary objective is to facilitate, encourage, and provide access to opportunities that showcase genuine and compelling stories on an international scale.

We encourage projects that celebrate human stories from the field of (but not limited to) environment and sustainability, science and technology, urbanisation, love and borders, important cultural figures, education, anthropology, women’s movement, gender and sexuality, children, music, arts and culture, health, mental health and wildlife. Selected projects will be notified over email.

Projects that are of mid-length and feature length are welcome to apply. Shorts (under 30 minutes) are not eligible for this edition.

Applications for Documentary Co-Production Market 2023 are now closed.

Please read the Rules & Regulations, Definitions and Undertaking carefully before submitting your application.

If you have queries, please read the FAQs.

Regardless of the final language of the film, all the submission requirements should be in English only.
